News & Events: 2017 GGU School of Law Commencement

Golden Gate University celebrated its newest cohort of Law School graduates at the Commencement ceremony on Friday, May 12 at Davies Symphony Hall. The Honorable Judge Teri L. Jackson, Presiding Judge of the San Francisco Superior Court, served as Commencement Speaker. Judge Jackson is the first African-American woman to serve as presiding judge of the SF Superior Court and has served on the San Francisco bench since 2002.

GGU President David J. Fike and Dean Rachel Van Cleave provided welcoming remarks, and Jim O'Neil (MBA 86) from the GGU Board of Trustees, and Steven Morgan (MBA 90), President of the GGU Alumni Association, spoke as well. The student farewell speech was given by Marco Franz D. Samson (JD 17).
