    Dr. Houri Parsi is a civil litigation attorney and doctor of Clinical Psychology. She currently practices civil litigation in the Bay Area with a focus on Family Law and other civil cases which involve psychiatric/psychological and other clinical forensic issues such as custody evaluations, fitness for duty employment evaluations, etc.

     

    2010 is Dr. Parsi's first year as an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University, School of Law teaching Legal Writing and Research. Dr. Parsi aims to use cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques to help students learn to re-structure their cognitive approach to legal problems and writing structure. Dr. Parsi has published numerous articles and textbook chapters on the interface of the fields of Psychology and Law and continues to search for ways to teach social scientists how to "think like a lawyer" and lawyers how to "think scientifically." Dr. Parsi holds a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, a JD from Golden Gate University, School of Law and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University. She is also presently the alumni representative for Golden Gate University's JD/PhD program and provides ongoing advisement for current and prospective students interested in the dual doctorate program.
