Adjunct Professor Katharine Demgen currently represents indigent juvenile and criminal appellants throughout the State, and is expanding her practice to include animal advocacy work. She has specialized in civil and criminal appeals throughout her career, beginning with a position as a Central Staff Attorney with the California Supreme Court, and leading to associate and of counsel positions with private law firms in San Francisco and New York City, as well as the New York State Office of the Solicitor General. Professor Demgen holds a BA in Anthropology and Social Theory from Stanford University, and a JD degree from Golden Gate University School of Law.
