    Adjunct Professor Florence Sinay Phillips is a State Bar Certified Specialist in Family Law with over 35 years in practice, representing clients in a variety of complex cases often involving difficult international matters with highly disputed child custody, support and property issues. She has also served as the mediator in a large number of cases, and served as the forensic expert in actions against attorneys as to breaches of standard of care.

     

    Earlier in her career, Ms. Phillips tried a large number of cases with the Los Angeles Public Defender's office as a criminal defense attorney, and was one of only ten attorneys selected immediately after law school to become a member of the Civil Rights and Litigation section of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, DC.Ms. Phillips attended NYU and is a summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UCLA and UCLA School of Law. She had practiced for over 20 years in Los Angeles, where she represented a number of high profile and celebrity clients, before re-locating to the Bay Area in 1997.
