Adjunct Professor Aaron Isherwood is a Managing Attorney with the Sierra Club Environmental Law Program. His responsibilities include managing the Sierra Club's overall litigation docket and overseeing the Sierra Club's legal strategy to fight mountaintop removal coal mining in Appalachia. Professor Isherwood has worked as a staff attorney with the Sierra Club since 1999. From 1996-99, he worked for the San Francisco-based law firm Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger where he focused on environmental and land use litigation; and from 1994-96, he clerked for the Honorable Robert Durham with the Oregon Supreme Court. Professor Isherwood has taught Public Land & Natural Resources Law on numerous occasions at Golden Gate University School of Law, and at University of San Francisco School of Law.  Professor Isherwood received his JD from University of Oregon School of Law (1994), and BA in political science from University of Chicago.
