E-MAIL FOR LIFE

Registered members of the Golden Gate University Alumni Association have the option to set up an alumni e-mail forwarding address through GGU AlumniConnect. This E-mail for Life program is an e-mail forwarding service, which permits users to choose an alumni.ggu.edu e-mail address (for example, johndoe@alumni.ggu.edu) that never changes. It is a lifetime e-mail address that is forwarded to your permanent e-mail account (such as gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc.). Rather than trying to remember to notify everyone (i.e., family, friends, banks, subscriptions, etc.) that your e-mail address has changed, all you need to do is update your preferred settings. Add or update Email for Life.

COMMUNITY TUITION GRANTS

The program introduces a 30 percent tuition grant for all undergraduate and graduate degree programs (except law) for individuals who have received a degree from a GGU. (Graduates of certificate programs only are not eligible.)

Family members of degree-holding alumni including including spouse, domestic partners, children and step-children are eligible for a 20 percent tuition grant for undergraduate and graduate degree programs (except Law).

UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

Alumni may apply for an alumni library card, which is free for two years following the date of graduation. After your first two years as a member, there is a $25 per year fee to borrow materials for home use, but on-site access remains free. Interested alumni must complete an Alumni Library Privileges Form and present it to the library. PATELCO CREDIT UNION

GGU alumni are eligible for membership in Patelco Credit Union. Patelco offers a variety of financial services at competitive rates (checking and savings accounts, credit cards, loans, etc.). There is a one-time $10 nonrefundable membership fee charged by Patelco. For information, call 800-358-8228.

GEICO AUTO INSURANCE

The GEICO Auto Insurance Program offers alumni quality car insurance with complete 24-hour sales, policy and claim services. As a GGU Alumni Association member, you may qualify for an alumni discount, in addition to GEICO's low rates. The discount is available in most states. GRADMED HEALTH INSURANCE

Members of the Alumni Association who are less than 65 years old may be eligible for short-term major medical insurance through GradMed's Alumni Health Insurance Program. GradMed is a convenient health-insurance solution for new graduates and other alumni while job-hunting or waiting for new employer benefits to kick in.
